Magimix

  • The History Of Magimix

Magimix was the original pioneer of the food processor over 35 years ago in Burgundy France. French catering company salesman Pierre Verdan observed the vast amount of time his clients spent in the kitchen chopping, shredding and mixing. He felt there must be an easier way and produced a simple but effective solution in the form of a bowl with a revolving blade in the base. Magimix has used and evolved this model down the years to the version we have today.
  • Magimix Food Processors

Modern Magimix food processors basically follow the same design, after all, "why change something when it works"? Celebrity chefs, cookery schools and food writers are always insisting on the Magimix food processor for reliability, quietness and robustness. In addition, all models come with a 20 year motor guarantee and a 3 year parts guarantee, something that even most car companies don't offer! This gives you confidence that Magimix know they have a product that lasts.

Magimix bowls are made of shatterproof lexan plastic, the same material used to manufacture riot shields and aircraft windows. The motors are a commercial grade induction motor which automatically adjusts the power for the task needed. There is no need to select speeds as the motor adjusts power to the required task. There is no servicing on these motors as they just go on and on.
  • Magimix 3200, 4200, 5200 The Differences

The Magimix has been designed for everyday use and should be kept on the work surface. The space required is almost the same for each model. The deciding factor in which model you need will be the number of people in your family, or the amount of people you entertain. Given that the motor guarantee is 20 years, consider whether you are planning a larger family in the next 10 years, or whether your dinner parties will become more popular with your new Magimix!

A rough guide is to follow is:
The Magimix 3200 model is for 3 to 4 people.
The Magimix 4200 model is for 4 to 5 people.
The Magimix 5200 model is for 5 or more people or large batch cooking

All Magimix food processors are designed to help you cope with both small jobs or large scale entertaining, ensuring your family or guests are provided with exquisite dishes. Although the 5200 model is slightly larger than the 4200, it takes up a similar amount of space on your kitchen worktop as the 3200. All three models each come with 3 bowls; a mini bowl for small amounts, a midi bowl for slicing and grating, and the main bowl for all other jobs, including egg whisking, dough making, soups, smoothies, purees, cake making and endless other food processing jobs. With a Magimix food processor you will find it so simple to prepare a range of delectable culinary delights that you will love spending time being creative in your kitchen.
