Making A Purchase

You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors. We will send you an order acknowledgement, detailing the products you have ordered.

Our acceptance of an order takes place when we despatch the order. When we despatch the order the purchase contract will be made even if your payment has been processed immediately, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled your order.

We may refuse in our discretion to accept an order:
(a) where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment;
(b) if there has been a pricing or product description error; or
(c) if you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in our terms and conditions.
(d) where goods ordered by you are not available;
(e) if we do not deliver to your area;

Where we do not accept your order but have processed your payment, we will re-credit your account with any amount deducted by us from your debit or credit card as soon as possible, but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to pay any additional amount as compensation for disappointment.

Shipping And Handling

Harts elves have been extra busy packing all the lovely Christmas goodies for our customers, all of which will be delivered in time for the big day. Sadly though Santas sleigh (Citylink & DPD couriers) are now overloaded, so we are unable to guarantee pre-Xmas delivery on any orders placed after 12.00pm Friday 19th.

Of course, the elves are working right up to Christmas eve, and we are still packing and despatching on a next working day delivery basis, so most deliveries should still be made in time, but Santa and his reindeer are unable to guarantee this with their current workload.

Please note that once an order is placed and packed, you will receive an email confirmation which includes tracking information where can check on the progress of your order at any time.

FREE DELIVERY TO MAINLAND U.K. on all orders over £40 in value by City Link on weekdays during normal working hours. £4.99 charge for all orders below £40 in value (delivery by City Link 1-2 working days) £2.00 charge for all orders below £20 in value (delivery by Royal Mail 3-7 working days).

For convenience we are able to offer a Weekday AM, Saturday or Sunday delivery service via DPD for a cost £4.99. (UK Mainland orders £40 and over, excludes UK Offshore, Highlands & Islands)

If you are normally at work during the daytime, it is advisable to either have your order sent to your place of work or to a neighbour or friend who can sign the receipt for you. Alternatively, during the checkout process you are able to advise us of a safe place your order can be left.

We Pride ourselves on our rapid service and aim to have your order picked, packed and delivered within 1-2 working days via City Link or 3-7 working days via Royal Mail. We will inform you if there may be a delay; please inform us if this level of service is not upheld.

Confirmation of receipt and acknowledgement of your Order will be sent to you by Email. Please note for orders being delivered to a separate delivery address than the card holders registered address, there may be a 24 hour delay for further security checks.

If the goods we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us , at our contact details, of the problem within 10 working days of the delivery of the goods in question.

If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 3-5 days (or the applicable time limit for Pot Racks, Arthur Price Cutlery and Kitchen Trolleys) of the date on which you ordered them, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us at our contact details of the problem within 10 days of our maximum delivery period from the date on which you ordered the goods.

If you choose to make your payment over the phone your details will not be stored and will be handled and processed in compliance with PCI-DSS requirements.

Returns Policy

Here at Harts of Stur, we aim to make your shopping experience as easy and stress-free as possible. Therefore, for added piece of mind, we are relaxing our returns policy this Christmas. Any purchases made before Christmas can be returned for exchange (wrong colour anyone?) or refund (someone else bought the same item, grrr!) up until the end of January 2015! All we ask is that it is unused, and in the original packaging. Thats one less worry.

Harts of Stur - Making things easier this Christmas.

UK Mainland customers who are not delighted with their purchases for any reason whatsoever may return their products within 28 days and request a full no-quibble refund. (In accordance with the terms below)

Upon receipt of the purchases we will give you a full refund of the amount paid or an exchange credit as required.

Any purchases that have been used or are not in a resaleable condition, or are not returned including original packaging will not be refunded.

The costs of returning unwanted purchases to us shall be borne by you.

Please return unwanted purchases to the address below including a note of your order number and the reasons for return. Alternatively the parcel can be returned through the Collect+ network, at a charge of £3.50. Please phone and we can email a returns label. The parcel must be under 10kg, valued at under £150, and can be dropped off at any one of over 5500 collection points across the UK, at a time to suit you. For larger or more valuable items, a collection via our courier at a charge of £10.00 can be arranged. This service operates within working hours on week days from any UK mainland address.
