Raspberry Ice has been chosen as the new KitchenAid charity colour, and a brand-new suite of four iconic appliances has been specially created in this vibrant shade. Taking its inspiration from the colour of the global pink ribbon campaign, Raspberry Ice is a brighter interpretation of the ribbon and proceeds from sales of appliances within the suite will go to UK breast cancer charity The Haven.

The Haven

The Haven is a national charity founded by Sara Davenport in 1997. It provides personalised support and care for people with breast cancer and helps them achieve the best possible quality of life. Sara’s idea for the charity came about after the experience of a close family friend who had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Sara was concerned by the lack of available information and emotional support for anyone diagnosed with the disease at that time. Her belief that ‘no-one should have to face breast cancer alone’, led Sara to sell her art business and focus her energy into creating The Haven. The first centre opened in London in 2000 and since then Havens have been opened in Hereford (2004), Yorkshire (2008) and Wessex (2015). The Worcestershire Haven has just opened its doors this year and more are planned across the country in the upcoming years. So whether you have just been diagnosed with breast cancer, are currently having or have just finished having treatment for it, have a partner, relative or close friend with breast cancer or are concerned about breast cancer, The Haven is on hand to support you. Each centre exudes comfort, warmth and safety – three things that anyone who’s been through the anguish of a life-threatening disease will find paramount.
