Denby
Denby pottery has been producing stoneware in Derbyshire for more than 200 years. Originally manufacturers of stoneware bottles and jars, the company is now best known for its beautiful tableware, which comes in variety of different colours and styles that are in stock now at Harts of Stur.
The lack of coloured stains available during the Second World War meant that only one range was produced during that period, called 'Utility Brown'. With the end of the war, Denby once again began producing colourful tableware ranges.
The Halo range was established in 2010. Its distinctive and elegant speckled design is created by the fusing of two tones of a special secret glaze. Denby uses local clay, lovingly handcrafted by skilled craftsmen and women to create the durable Halo tableware. In addition to looking fantastic, the glaze also helps to protect the items and prevent them from chipping.
The products in the Denby Halo range have been designed to last and can be used in the oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher, making the collection functional and great for everyday use.
The range includes a number of sets to choose from. If you're looking for a full dinner set then the Halo range has a 16 piece set, or a 12 piece set available in either standard or Coupe versions. If you want to enjoy a takeaway in style there is also a 7 piece takeaway set, or 7 piece Asian set - both great for enjoying Chinese food!
