About Harts Coffee Loft

Harts Coffee Loft is a welcoming coffee shop in Sturminster Newton, Dorset, located on the first floor of Harts of Stur, above the Garden Department. With seating for over 40 guests, the Coffee Loft is the perfect place to pause during your shopping trip or meet with family and friends. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee, homemade cakes, or a delicious light lunch in a relaxed setting.

Open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm on Saturdays, and 10am to 3.30pm on Sundays, our Dorset café offers a varied menu to suit all tastes. Many dishes can be adapted for gluten-free or vegan diets, and we pride ourselves on sourcing ingredients locally wherever possible. A children’s menu is also available. Ben, our Coffee Loft manager, and his friendly team look forward to welcoming you soon.

For your convenience, we offer disabled parking, a wheelchair-accessible entrance, and a lift to the Coffee Loft on the first floor.

Start your day with our freshly prepared breakfast, served from 8.30am to 11am, Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 11am on Sundays. Our breakfast menu offers something for everyone, from lighter choices such as scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast, to hearty favourites like a traditional full English breakfast or a pork sausage sourdough bap.

Join us for lunch, served from midday to 3pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 11.30am to 3pm on Sundays. Our lunch menu features a delicious selection of classic, freshly prepared dishes, including hearty soups, oven-baked jacket potatoes, and lighter options such as paninis and sandwiches. To finish, why not indulge in one of our homemade desserts, the perfect way to complete your meal.

Afternoon Tea is served from 3pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 3pm to 4pm on Saturdays, and 3pm to 3.20pm on Sundays. Indulge in a decadent high tea, beautifully presented on a traditional three-tier stand, or enjoy a selection of freshly made sandwiches, cakes, and pastries, perfectly paired with a refreshing pot of tea or coffee.
