The Challenge

On Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 27th August 2016, Johnathan and Graham Hart from Harts of Stur in Sturminster Newton will be setting off on their South Coast Challenge as team 'The Chunky Monkeys'. The non-stop 100km starts at Eastbourne and our daring duo will be walking continuously for the whole challenge to reach Arundel the following day. Along the way our two challengers will pass through Beachy Head, saunter through the Seven Sisters Country Park and continue along the path of South Downs Way. At the midpoint of their challenge, Johnathan and Graham will be treated to the stunning views of Devils Dyke in the Brighton area. With on and off road sections they will have to walk through the night and still be making their way along the South Coast Challenge as the sun rises on the second day. Johnathan and Graham South Coast ChallengeAlong their journey Johnathan and Graham will have only short breaks for refreshments and contend with many ups and downs of the terrain with an overall elevation of 2020 meters. On hand during their challenge there will be medical teams and pace walkers to help all the challengers along the way. When they cross the finish line, Johnathan and Graham will not only receive a very worthy medal but a glass of bubbly to celebrate their prestigious achievement.
