What item on our website have you got your eye on this Christmas and why?

I’m after a coffee machine. I have my eye on the Sage Barista Express, but as it’s just me in our house that drinks coffee I don’t think my wife would be too happy! I’ll probably settle for a Lavazza Jolie Plus, but it may end up being a present I buy for myself. Talking Christmas Blog Matt Price - Lavazza Image

So, have you finished all your Christmas shopping yet?

Haven’t even started! I’m usually guilty of leaving it until the last minute and always promise I’ll be better but it somehow never works out that way.

And what are your present wrapping skills like?

Varied. I find it very much depends on the shape of the present. If it’s a simple box then I’m away. Anything with unusual angles ends up a mess, so clever choice of presents is key.

What is your favourite thing about Christmas?

So many things. Although Christmas is a particularly great time for food, for me it is also about spending time with family, so catching up with everyone is probably my favourite thing.

Do you have a top Christmas tip?

Of course. Elastic waistbands at Christmas Dinner time!

Who cooks the Christmas dinner?

I’ve always gone back to my parents for Christmas so Mum cooks, though my sister and I have been known to help out. I’ll always volunteer to take the pigs in blankets out of the oven…

Favourite Christmas cracker joke?

What did one snowman say to the other snowman? ‘Can you small carrots?’

What’s the best Christmas present you’ve ever received?

Not a single present, but I used to love Christmas mornings as my sister and I had large Christmas bags (instead of stockings) that our parents would fill with presents. It was only small things – everything from calendars to socks, but it meant there were loads of things to unwrap. I think as a child, quantity can sometimes win over quality…

And the worst?

I don’t recall ever receiving a gift that I’d consider all that bad. Writing a detailed Christmas list is always the best way to avoid this!

Do you make New Year’s resolutions, and if so, do you keep to them?

I don’t even bother with New Year’s resolutions as I know that I won’t stick to them. Let’s face it, most people don’t. Plus, I’m perfect as it is, right?
